In 1985, the founding members of the Chester County Bar Foundation (CCBF) were passionate about their mission to help Chester County citizens understand, gain access to and benefit from our legal system. Over 25 years later, we enthusiastically expand upon their efforts as we strive to ensure that our citizens not only learn about the legal system, but become inspired to the point where they might one day improve it.
In addition to understanding the legal system, it is important for our citizens to also have access to it. The CCBF supports the "Access to Justice" program that provides pro bono legal services to the working poor in Chester County. The CCBF funds this and numerous other programs that help Chester County citizens understand the legal system by informing them of their legal rights, duties and responsibilities. The CCBF's support helps turn knowledge into action.
In order to fulfill our mission, the CCBF is looking to expand the types of programs it offers. This expansion of services requires continuous funding. We currently and thankfully receive funding from our lawyers, judges and private citizens. Nonprofit organizations, corporations and our numerous fundraising efforts also contribute to the funding necessary to accomplish our goal. Increased and continued financial support from all these sources will ensure success.
